⚔️ KOS Conditions
KOS is the highest level of hostile escalation in Blackridge County. It is not a casual mechanic and should never be used as a shortcut to violence. KOS represents the final stage of serious conflict — built through tension, ongoing RP, and meaningful escalation.
Think of it as the last chapter of a long story, not the opening scene.
⚠️ Establishing a KOS
All KOS situations must be properly established in-county through roleplay before any violence occurs.
Valid setup methods include:
-
Face-to-face confrontation
-
Telegrams
-
Direct roleplay interactions
Before initiating KOS, there must be:
-
A clear reason
-
Demands or consequences communicated
-
Real escalation — not vague threats or impulsive actions
-
KOS must always be justified through RP.
⏳ KOS Duration Rules
-
A KOS lasts a maximum of 24 hours
-
Any extension requires Staff approval
-
If no meaningful RP occurs, the KOS expires automatically
-
To continue conflict, new RP must be created. Repeating the same scenario does not justify continuation — progression is required.
🔒 Limiting KOS Abuse
Most conflicts should be resolved with a single KOS.You should not be stacking multiple KOS events over minor issues.
Examples of single-KOS conflicts:
-
Disrespectful encounters
-
Tax disputes
-
Territory selling conflicts
-
Minor turf violations
⚔️ Formal Declaration System
If multiple KOS events and RP escalation fail to resolve conflict, gangs may request a Formal Declaration. A Formal Declaration consists of three structured KOS rounds, hosted by staff, with agreed combat styles.
Gangs may agree to constant KOS in the days leading up to the three rounds, with parameters such as:
-
Time windows (e.g. 7PM–10PM only)
-
Melee-only days
-
Weapon restrictions
-
Territory limits
-
Agreement Rules
-
Both gangs must agree to all terms
-
If no agreement is reached, staff will set+ the parameters
-
Staff approval is required for the declaration to be valid
A formal declartion settles the for good and is enforced by staff if needed. think of it as the final fight if people cant come to an agreement on their own.
🏥 Green Zones (Doctors Buildings, Businesses, Safe Areas)
Prohibited:
-
Camping outside green zones
-
Ambushing players entering/exiting
-
Shooting into or out of green zones
Restrictions:
-
You may not run into green zones to escape fights you started
-
Entering a green zone during an active hostile scene does not grant immunity
-
Green zones cannot be used to taunt, provoke, or bait players
-
If a hostile scene begins outside and enters a green zone, the green zone does not apply
-
Green zones should be avoided during KOS and hostile RP to prevent civilian disruption and third-party involvement.
🚫 KOS Abuse Prevention
KOS may not be used for:
-
Fake or vague reasons
-
Targeting new or smaller crews
-
Forcing conflict without RP buildup
-
Random hunting outside conflict zones
-
Farming kills
-
Power escalation
If it feels forced — it is.
KOS should build RP, not destroy it.
📕 Setting Demands
When provoked gangs may choose to:
-
Escalate to hostility
-
Issue demands to de-escalate
Demands are optional and may be:
-
Negotiated
-
Accepted
-
Refused
Valid Demand Examples:
-
Territory cleanup
-
Financial compensation
-
Tax payments
-
Jobs
-
Tasks
Financial Limits:
Demands must be realistic and proportional. Any high demannd requires staff approval
Enforcement Rules:
-
Staff may cancel unrealistic demands
-
Repeated abuse of demands may result in conflict termination
-
Refusal of demands is valid RP and may escalate conflict
👕 Out of Colors Rules
If your gang is in:
-
Active KOS
-
Ongoing beef
-
Hostile conflict
You must wear official gang colors.
Allowed to go out of colors only if:
-
You are killed
-
You are on hostile cooldown
-
You are waiting for KOS expiration
🔴 You may NOT go out of colors to avoid conflict while still participating in beef RP.
If you’re in the conflict — you represent the gang.
🕓 Hostile Timer (Cooldown System)
Default hostile timer: 30 minutes Applies to: KOS and beef scenarios
While On Timer, You May NOT:
-
Start fights
-
Trash talk
-
Bait players
-
Provoke hostility
-
Use green zones for protection
-
Participate in gang conflict
-
Engage in hostile RP
If you escalate while on timer:
-
Your timer becomes void
-
You are fair game
-
Staff will enforce penalties
Color & Timer Rule Summary
Simple rule:
On timer = out of colors, out of beef, out of trouble.
If you:
-
Wear gang colors
-
Rep your gang
-
Enter gang situations
-
Participate in conflict
-
While on timer — you are valid and staff will not protect you.
💉 Doctor Rule
If you die in a conflict:
- You must remove gang clothing before leaving the doctor interior or the scene with the doctor.
This prevents confusion and accidental rule breaches
❗ Core Principle
KOS is a roleplay tool, not a combat mechanic.
Used correctly, it:
-
Creates long-term storylines
-
Builds gang identity
-
Shapes county politics
-
Drives meaningful conflict
-
Creates memorable RP arcs
Used incorrectly, it:
-
Destroys immersion
-
Breaks balance
-
Creates admin workload
-
Harms server culture
Blackridge County prioritizes story-driven conflict, not kill-driven gameplay.
